How it started, and why it is still here.
The name. S.T.A.R. stands for Safety, Teamwork, Attitude and Reliability. Safety comes first in the name because it comes first on the job.
S.T.A.R. Concrete Pumping has worked out of Tomball since 1998. The work has followed what Texas builds: water treatment plants and highways, and now the data centers and LNG export plants going up across Texas and the Gulf Coast.
- 1998Founded in Tomball, on FM 2978, where the yard and the shop still are.
- 2011February 10, 2011: ownership and management changed to the current structure. Since then, safety procedures and training, a renewed fleet, more services and more yards.
- 2014The fleet renewal begins. More than 110 new boom pumps bought since August 2014, replaced every four to five years.
- 2022Boom pumps staged in downtown Austin and across Houston on data center and slab work.
- TodayPutzmeister and Schwing booms from 28 to 65 meters, more than 90 pumps, five Texas yards, and the same dispatch number.
What we are
- Putzmeister and Schwing truck mounted boom pumps from 28 to 65 meters, plus line pumps, serviced by our own shop.
- Five Texas yards: Tomball, Dickinson, Bryan and College Station, Manor outside Austin, and New Braunfels. The Gulf Coast from Port Arthur to Corpus Christi, inland to Austin, San Antonio and College Station.
- Commercial, petrochemical, industrial, hospitality, institutional, heavy highway and elevated work, and very little residential, from one intricate placement to mass pours with several pumps and thousands of yards.
- A company that took its old website down because it was hype. This one says what we do and nothing else.
