Public works

Highway, bridge and water plant concrete pumping.

TxDOT paced work and treatment plants. Pours that run on inspections and traffic control, with no room for a pump that shows up late.

What public works pours need

  • Bridge decks and caps. Reach over traffic control and falsework from where the truck can legally set up.
  • Walls and structures. Treatment plant basins, tanks, pump stations: tall, dense, inspected as they go.
  • Paperwork ahead of time. The W-9, the certificate of insurance and the site's vendor packet in the hands of the contractor before the pour, not after. Certificates, driver records and equipment documents too. Which of these is true for Star today? Answer
  • Night closures. Highway work pours when the lanes are closed. We staff it.

Where

Houston and Austin markets and the corridors between them. Water and wastewater plants across the same area.

Bridge deck or plant structure coming up?

Tell dispatch the closure window, the reach and the yards. Paperwork goes ahead of the pour.

Or call dispatch, (281) 357-1555.
